Belle Grove Plantation was built in 1794 by Major Hite and was used as headquarters of General Philip Sheridan during the Civil War. Extensive gift shop available with an area devoted to quilting and fabrics. Exit 302 off I-81, West to US 11 in Middletown; from Middletown, follow US 11 south one mile to Belle Grove entrance. Mon - Sat: 10am - 4pm; Sun: 1pm - 5pm. Museums open April 1 - October 31. Mon - Sat: 10am - 4pm; Sun: 12 - 4pm.
